The participation in and planning and execution of the course draws and expands upon results from the summer school Intensive Programme in Narratology (IPIN), previously held at Aarhus University from 2009 to 2012. Among the scholars at the IPIN-course were James Phelan (US), Lisa Zunshine (US), Brian Richardson (US), Richard Walsh (UK), Jacob Lothe (NO), Liesbeth Korthals Altes (NL), Jan Alber (DE), and Marina Grishakova (EE). Main organizer of the SINS course is Stefan Iversen, Aarhus University.
